Human Resources audit, also called HR social audit, is:
- an analysis of all HR procedures implemented within a company
- an assessment of human resources department practices
Who is concerned ?
Any company with an internal payroll/HR department that wants to make sure it complies with the laws and practices in force in the country, regardless of its number of employees.
Benefits
It enables:
- identify potential risks (in the event of non-compliance with the legislation)
- identify areas where improvements are needed to optimize human resources management
- define and propose an action plan
- improve company’s efficiency, legal compliance and align its practices with its strategic objectives.
HR audits are generally carried out every 5 years.
It highlights both good and bad HR practices.
HR audit is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. No company is safe from an URSSAF audit*. It can happen overnight and you’d better be ready for it.
*URSSAF is an organization set up by the French government to collect and distribute the social security contributions that finance the entire Social Security system (healthcare, retirement pensions, etc.).
